Anybody modified Mustang pillion position?

Getting used to my new long awaited Mustang. Love it but seems the lip of the passenger seat extends about a 1/4" over the driver and I can feel it when I lean all the way back. I.'m assuming there is no adjustment possible for either seat so I'm wondering if anyone has modified (I.e. redrilled) the hole for the passenger seat. Or maybe this is by design for better support. Just wondering.

I think Mustang designed it that way to give the rider more back support.

That's it. It's actually somewhere in their literature.
