Smiling ear to ear
One problem about getting old and riding the big cruiser bagger (Nomad) is we tend to forget what it was like before the windshield and floorboards and everything else that makes the 1/2 ton behemoth roll. Just took a spin on my son in laws self made chopper. The tears in my eyes weren't just from the 90 mph wind but also the joy of the feel of the road and motor again. Damn that was fun. But then the wisdom returns, and I remember why I got the Nomad to begin with....Comfort for these aging bones.

I hear ya reloader. I also have another bike that takes me out there on the wild side but it sure is nice to jump back on the nomad and cruise.

The thing I remember from days past is being smacked in the chest and face by kamikaze bugs and bees in the helmet and bikes that were fun to ride but not for long. Happy to leave those 'joys' to others. Love my Nomad.

Oil leaks, uncertain electrics, lousy tires, chains to clean and adjust, those were the days, and the key word here is WERE. That is for the young studs.LOL.Funny thing is, those guys just never get it that we've been there done that.

It's amazing that as you get older, your parents got smarter

HehHeh...
When I was 16 I couldn't understand how my neighbor could afford a new 396 Chevelle but for the same dough bought a frikkin' Country Squire instead. Now I understand completely. When you get old, the whole universe changes. (It couldn't possibly be us, right?) |

+1. All it took was ONE ride w/o the windshield and I knew mine would never come off again. Hmm, let's see: loud and unpleasant vs. comfortable and enjoyable??? Not a difficult choice for me!!!
