Using HD header gaskets on your Nomad
I just read a couple of very interesting items on another Nomad forum that I hadn't read on this one, so I thought I'd pass them on to the group.
When using after market pipes with thinner header flanges such as a V&H, you can use Harley Davidson crush gaskets for better sealing. HD gasket part # is 17048-98. There was also a mention of using a hole saw to also clear out the goat belly, but I haven't got anyone to explain that one further. Has anyone heard of this method? ??? ...and I'll bet the HD dealer stocks that part and many Kaw dealers may not. It's also probably less expensive. I have heard about that before.

I use the HD gaskets on my pipes, They are about $7.00 a pair and always in stock.
