fork mounted driving lights
Does anyone know the name or manufacture or website of the driving lights that mount on the side of the forks. they are not a bar and they mount ( I think) to where your windshield mounts on each side. they come up over you turn signals. I have put the silver bullets on but want more light. any info would be helpful. THanks and ride safe.

I made my own. These are the prototypes, not the finished set, which is uh, not finished yet - but will be soon. The final set will be polished to a mirror finish, and the design has been changed somewhat.

I believe the ones you are talking about are sold by Custom World International (CWI). I have them on my bike.

I start with 2 pieces of 7" long 3"x3"x.250" angle. I use a sawzall to cut the rough shape, then use files and sanding drums to get them to the final dimensions. Then I wet sand them with 1200 grit paper and then polish with a cloth wheel and aluminum polish. I could have bought the brackets and lights from Value Accessories, but I decided to build my own as a personal challenge.

I have the CWI'S TOO. Had issues with the halgen bulbs burning out so CWI sent me a sealed beam replacement bulb and I have been running those for well over a year without issues. I believe Trip had the exact same issue.

CWI here, got them at Scootworks. Cheaper elsewhere but it was an impulse buy....
Got mine on a switch. Run the Kisan headlight modulater during daylight and the billet lights at night.

Yes Please Jack.... I would be working in the same method, so not making a cutting edge part either, or in other words not selling any. But having a drawing would be great at saving some guess work. Mac

You can get fork mounts from motolight, I had them on my Meanstreak. On that bike they mounted to the calipers but think they have a more "northbound" version as well, kinda pricey though if you can;t find them on ebay.
