Hey BD! any update on the aircover mod?

Hey BD

Any news to report back on performance with your air cover mod? Noticed any performance increases or decreases?

Not too much of a difference. I like the fact that I've doubled my air intake and the intake is still pretty quiet. I've ridden the open right side caddamm and I don't think I could listen to that 2 barrel carb suction sound. It sounds to me like you poked a hole in a can of spray paint. Lots of hissing.

Only if you got stock mufflers.....FffffftFffffftFffffftFffffft.... Could be really annoying regardless of what air kit you use...

To really appreciate it, you gotta do the full package. Baggers/coasters/air/fuel mod. You'll still hear the cam chains, but that .....FffffftFffffftFffffftFffffft....sound will be gone.

I can make that sound regardless! six pack of beer and a bean burrito.... Fffffft...

I've never heard my cam chains. Seriously ,and I know what they sound like. My stock baffles are removed so it's a little louder.

Remind me not to ride BEHIND you.

You know, I have never heard mine either.....I seem to recall reading somewhere that the 1600's don't have near the issues with cam chains/tensioners....Am I dreaming that???

I'll have a new report soon. I had my extra goat belly gutted yesterday ($100). I pick it up Monday, and hope to get it on soon. Having previously done the resistor mod, punched out baffles, and removal of the silencers, we'll see what this adds or distracts. I hope to have a bit more sound, but my fear is loss of back-pressure, in which if that happens, I have a set of baffles lined up to install. I'llll be bauk.
