Dealership oil changes

For those of you who don't do your own oil changes here's a tip that will save you a couple of bucks. Dealerships charge you to dispose of your used oil. DON"T PAY FOR IT. They save it in a drum and when the truck comes around to pick it up they are paid for it. Just tell them you refuse to pay the disposal charge and they'll take it off the bill.

I think here in AZ it's a state-mandated fee. Same thing with the tire disposal fee that's tacked on when tires are replaced.

Never been there, but it can't be much of a fee can it?

Same here, I believe it's state mandated on oil and tires.

same here I got a 5 gal bucket I store my old oil in and when it gets full I take it to a gas station and they let me empty in their storage drums.

I take mine to the auto parts store down the road. They take it for free and there is usually something there I can't go home without. Hmmm, ya think they figured something out.
