New guy from Tampa, FL
Recently purchased this bike. 99 with 29,000 miles on it.
 Soon to be in shop for a complete tear down to change the hideous color. Wish the frame wasnt painted be alot easier. I used color against him to drag price alot lower.  Shortly after I bought it I developed a problem with bike dying at highway speeds. It would restart but didnt seem to want to run. While attempting to restart bike it blew the air cleaner right off the side of the bike. Shattered the mounting plate on it when it did it. Took tank off and a vent line was kinked. Unsure why it ran perfectly fine for a few weeks as I hadnt worked on bike to kink the line. Now I have a hypercharger on it and it runs great. GREAT bike and well pleased with it. I see from reading through the boards this is going to be an expensive bike with all the mods available. Nice to meet everyone Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Did you ask the previous owner if the POG (plastic oil gear) had been changed in it? That was probably the biggest headache for the 99 year bikes. DC

Welcome from Ohio. Color wouldn't be my first choice, but it looks ridable. As mentioned the POG is your biggest concern, and is where I'd spend my time first.
