Severe storms again

Hope all of our friends in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama are OK. I just heard that today's death toll around Tuscaloosa is 37 and expected to rise. Haven't seen Gene on here tonight. Hopefully it's just a power outage in his area.

Severe storms again

I'm NE of Atlanta by 60 miles and I just came in off of the front porch from watching the lightning show to the west and north west. Suches, Ga. is getting nailed right now and it's supposed to hit out area tonight around 2:00 am or so.
There is nothing I love more then to sit on my porch swing and watch the lightning off in the distance, but right now there must have been 400 strikes cloud to cloud or to the ground in the last half hour!!
Pretty but deadly....

Hope everyone is Ok. Sounds like devestating storms with 193 dead this morning. I hope Gene is OK. Looked up Boaz and it is in line with Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Severe storms again

I can't believe the storms I've been seeing on the news. My wife thinks I'm crazy for wanting to ride into this area in June. Our severe weather is nothing like this. I really hope all our members lucked out and are safe and sound.

We had the same storms come thru here that hit Birmingham but most of the tornado's touched down in rural areas. at one time we had 5 sited within 20 miles of my house but we made it without damage the last count I have seen was 32 dead in Mississippi, hope every one we know are safe I know we have one member in Tuscaloosa fatrat45.

I can't imagine what it is like to see a tornado headed your way.
Yes we can get some fairly violent weather once in while here, but it all pales in comparison to tornados and hurricanes.
I do hope that all our members are safe and did not suffer any property loss.

Severe storms again

The sun finally came out in western Arkansas today.
I certainly feel for the folks in Alabama and elsewhere.
Entire neighborhoods wiped out, hundreds dead.
It'll take months to clean up and years to rebuild.
Some will never recover from it.

Gene is probably one of the tens of thousands without power right now. I am hoping that no power is his only problem right now.

Neither of these guys have logged on recently. Hopefully it's just power outages accounting for their absences.
