IMHO..passenger back rest to big!

Like almost everything about my 2006 Nomad; BUUUUTTTT the passenger back rest. To me it looks to big and out of proportion for the nice lines of the back rest hardware/bracket. Do/have any of you changed to a smaller one; or know where to get one? Thxs in advance...[TIA]

I too have thought that, but the passenger says otherwise. Mustang makes a direct replacement that is still very big, but not quite as think.

John Pappalardo did some customizing to his backrest pad. You can see pictures of it in this accelerate article. Working on the pad is very straight forward and I'd bet you could find an apolstery shop to reshape it for cheap.

It is definitely one of the fatter ones out there. I think you best bet it is take it off, shave it down, and then re-wrap.

That's what I would do. It's probably just stapled underneath.

Hey, I had to do it. CJ called you on your typos earlier so I figured what the hell.

be careful. it looks like if you shave it down too much your passenger would be sitting off the back of the seat.
