Mounting a Premeux on an 07 Nomad - Finally

I am trying to mount my Premeux Fairing on my bike but I am getting interference on the mounting bracket. I thought it was going to be using the windshield bolts but the mounting holes and bracket are much longer than where those holes line up.

Do I also remove the lower wind deflectors for this to work and how about the cobra driving lights? It seems the lower hole hits around the top mounting hole for the wind deflector.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gene (Wanderer) had a Premeux fairing on his '07. I'm sure he could give you some pointers.

Some of the bolts that held the windsheild brackets should work to mount the fairing. You mayhave to space out the lights since they will be very close to the fairing. I spaced mine by adding a 1/8" nylon washer under the lampon the mounting stud, and that was enough. I didn't have to touch the wind deflectors either.
If your stuck give Serge a call, Im sure he'll help you out.

Steve, do you have the cobra light bar? I just put my stock risers back on so that should be one less item to work around. I can find another handlebar to give the pull back I need. I just need to look and think about this, probably in the middle of the night a solution will hit me haha. It appears to me the top windshield bolt should be the one to use for the top fairing bolts but the bottom one is giving me the problem with the lights and lower windshields. I emailed Serge but was hoping to finish this tonight.

That is one fine looking fairing - paint and pin stripes look great. Quality product for sure.

I have the Fire & Steel light bar, but Ive heard they are identical to the Cobra's. My bike is an 02 and the fork spacing is a little narrower than your bike, so I assume your light bar is a little different than mine. I'll see if I have a pic that I can post for you.

I could use a pic of the mounting points on the fork if that's possible. Being your's is a 1500 there could be more differences than expected. Tx for the pic. I will take one of my fork also. I think Serge is going to have to get involved for me to get this mounted. There are several holes on the mounting plate and I might be trying to use the wrong ones.

I'll see if I have a pic like that, If I don't I'll run out to the garage and take one, hang tight.

here is my fork showing one bolt towards the top that mounts the windshield and then how the light bar mounts to the fairing. The light bar needs something under it to mount properly (the lowers were mounted under).

See if this helps, On my bike you have to remove the air deflector bracket first, they replace it over top of the fairing mount.

That looks a lot different than mine. I will take pics of the mounting plate on the fairing also tomorrow. Too dark in the garage.

My fairing is attached with three bolts on each side, and two on the centre by the headlamp.
You may have to remove a couple more brackets first, before it fits on.
