What would you do? UPDATED see 3/10 post

I ordered a "YUASA YTX20CH-BS High Performance Maintenance Free Battery YUAM6220C" from Battery Mart (through Amazon).

They shipped me a Power PS Sonic Super Sport Series PTX20chBS. Made in China. I am sure it was intentional.

Nothing on the box or on the battery makes me think the battery is made by Yuasa.

What would you do? Anyone else run into this with Battery Mart?

I would research the battery first, then contact Battery Mart to find out what is going on. i.e. Did they accidentally ship me the wrong battery.

Yes I would be checking with them. Explain what you ordered and what you received. I would definitely check the battery out. I just don't like that made in China thing.

Plugged in the battery information and it came up with the below listed information. Says it is by Yuasa. Sold by Battery Mart. I would definitely contact Battery Mart. You order the Yuasa YTX20CH-BS and it becomes YUAM6220C.

YUASA YTX20CH-BS High Performance Maintenance Free Battery YUAM6220C

I skimmed this off the Yuasa website.

Tell them you wanted a battery made in the USA, not in China or someplace else. Your trying to help the American economy, not China's.

Sounds like Yuasa likes to say Made In America, but make them wherever they like.

Like the others have stated, I'd get in touch with them and see what the deal is. I ordered my battery through them and had no issues with it, but this seems a little sketchy to me. Since you ordered through Amazon, you may have to go through them, but hopefully not. I'm not sure how that works. Let us know what you find out.

Hi schoeney,

First, I'd like to be upfront and state that I am an employee of Battery Mart. I came across this thread this morning. I hope it's not a problem for the members of this forum that I reply here. If so, my apologies!

I apologize for sending you the incorrect battery. We receive batteries from multiple vendors, and it appears that you were shipped the Powersonic battery by mistake. I see that you've sent us a message via Amazon last night, so we'll handle getting you the battery that you ordered through there, as is Amazon's policy. I just checked our warehouse myself and verified that we do have the Yuasa Motocross battery in stock.

And, the big reason I wanted to try and reach out to you here: a lot of times when we send Amazon customers return labels, Amazon's automated systems remove the attachment. If this happens, please let us know. You can give our Returns Dept. a call at 800-405-2121, option 3. If that doesn't work for you, we also have a contact form you can use on our website (http://www.batterymart.com/c-contact-us.html). We'll work out another method of getting the label to you so we can get this resolved.

Thank you, and again, I apologize for the mistake.
-Derek @ Battery Mart
