New Member from MA

Hello to the group. I am a new owner of a new 2010 1700 Nomad that I bought about a month ago. I am an expereinced rider coming off of a trade of my 98 Valkyrie tourer. This is my first v-twin, and I am very happy with my purchase.
I wanted to move to a v-twin from the Valk for a more comfortable seating position, not wanting to reach out around the cylinder heads of the Valk anymore. The feet forward position is going to be better for me. I also wanted to modernize with the fuel injection instead of the six carburator setup.
So, we'll see how things go with my Nomad. I already have 700 miles on her and have had the break-in maintenance done by my dealer.
Unfortunatley, the end of the season here in Ma is upon us, but I'll be checking in here frequently to learn and contribute what I can. Take care, Eric

Welcome from Ohio, would love to hear your impressions of the Nomad compared to the Valk. Some here have pondered if the power of the Valk was enough to make it an overall better bike. I've always found the Nomad to be powerful enough for all my needs.
