New Title????
How long have we been the Nomad/Vaquero nation? Were we the Nomad/Voyager nation before? I just never noticed?
I think the pic of the Vaq is cool but I though the Voyager was cool to. After I road the Voyager and found it to be cramped compared to my 07 it lost some of it's appeal. If the Vaq is on the 1700 frame and has that same cramped feel it may loose some of it's appeal also. Just thinking out loud.

I think it is a 1700 motor in a 1600 frame. Just my opinion, as it seems to have some of the 1600 Nad looks.

Maybe Trip put a deposit down on one while he was in Vegas. Ruby Earl isn't as young as she used to be.

New Title????
A couple people have told me that Kaw is changing the bar-seat-running board position so that it is not so cramped but that it is still the 1700 engine and frame. Cours,,, who really knows?
I'd really like to see a dyno sheet on the 1700 cause the one I rode didn't blow my ears back but the info says over 100 ft lbs of tourque and that is a ton more than our 1600's and should be very noticable???

Ross
I think Kawa has an engine that would really suck the gas if it weren't for their fuel control and with the small 5.3 tank you would not get much more than 110 miles per tank. I have had mine up to 90 but it took some doing to get there. I don't care about top speed but I want the bike to get out of it's own way if you know what I talking about. |

I do Jeff. And I agree. My Nomad is no high performance ride but it can pass a semi on a two lane when I need it too.
I ride occasional with a guy that has a 1700 Nomad and he says must run RPMs quit a bit higher than his old 1500 to get the performance but that it is there if you push it? Also comments that low end (just off idle putting around) his 1500 had quit a bit more omph than the 1700.

I once bought a brand new snowmobile that was a dud from day one. It started well, ran well, and was all around pretty good, except it had no top speed. That sled should have done an honest 75mph all day long, and the best it ever did was about 55mph. Nobody knew what the problem was to fix, so I sold it.
