Stock HP at the tire - 08 Nomad

I have searched, and so far can't find, for the stock HP at the tire on the 08 Nomad. Does anyone know what it is?

Not much, but we got torque. Modding some things gets you more and can get you better MPG's if you train yer wrist.

BD I think there is a wrist Bra that fixes that problem. Then there is the pillion rider that can pound on your head, but you need to 'move' to a lid free state.

While I didn't buy any mc to get good economy, the ways things are today some economy may matter. (probably in my after life.)

I think I read 57 hp. I didn't know that was at the back wheel.

Whatever it is, it seems to be quite enough to get me down the road. And heck, I even have fun doing it.

I figured in the mid 50's somewhere as that is what I have right now with the K & N filter and V&H exhaust. I was just wondering what the base line was. Thanks for the replies. As for the wrist, I have tons of control over that - its the weight of my arm pulling it down that is the issue

Some dyno results were just posted. It looks like you can get 66-68sh if you do the 3 performance modifications (intake, pipes, fuel processor). Prior to these mods you can expect around 55.

Because of the restrictive, and poor design, of the stock intake you can expect a great increase when you bypass the cross-over tube.

Mine was done on the dyno not to long ago

stock=52.88 hp and 74.60 torque
pipes=58.91 hp and 81.96
full custom tune with Vance and Hines baggers, power commander III and thunder mfg big air tear drop intake======70.54 hp 90.79 torque

Needless to say she really scoots now even with my big 300lb butt on it.

91 ft/lbs of torque? Really. That's not bad. 18 extra HP with the triad of pipes, fuel and intake is impressive.

Where did you get the dyno work done?
