Quality of Tsukaya Trunk

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of Tsukaya trunks.
I'm looking for a trunk for the Nomad so any info would be appreciated.

They are a lower end trunk that can have the bottom crack if your not careful, but they do get the job done and you get what you pay for. They'll work if your on a tight budget.
A while ago I stumbled across a website that would sell them to you direct from China for $8.00 a piece if you bought a hundred at a time. It dropped to $5-6.00 if you took about 250 pcs.

Ring, are you sure you're not thinking of a Mutazu trunk? I think the Tsukayu's are better quality than that.

Tsukayu's are very good quality.Never heard anything bad about them.The Mutazu stuff is Ebay junk.Very low quality but will work in a pinch.

I have had good luck with Mutazu, has never cracked, spider cracking or any, much more durable and water proof than the factory stuff. But Tsukayu is a well made fiberglass trunk

I had the Tsukayu "Strong" fiberglass hard bags on my C50 - they were not cheap but then again they were not cheap. Very sturdy, large and well made.

I have a tsukaya fairing on my bike....very good quality and no problems...a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for

My Mutazu has also done well for the last 2+ years. No cracking anywhere. I've changed the lid gasket twice and the latch broke this year. Mutazu mailed me a new latch right away for a little over $20. I can't complain for what I paid for it. If it cratered tomorrow, I got more than my money's worth.

My 2 cents
I have the Tsukayu Strong bags on my 1100 Honda Sabre.. about 38k miles and well used.. They hold up well and as stated they build a nice product!... Hand laid fiberglass..sturdy and if purchased in primer VERY LITTLE prep work needed,,,, PICs a must when you getit

Thanks for all the quick input. You guys are fast.
There is one of these trunks on ebay.
It's new but out of the box. I am considering making a bid on it.
Now I guess my only concern is that looking at the pictures of it on a Nomad
it doesn't look like the backrest is much higher than the stock backrest.
My wifes #1 complaint is that the backrest is to low. I suppose I could always mount it a little higher.
Anyway thanks again for all the info.
