What would you do? Valk or Vulcan
My trusty 03 Nomad has 51,000 mile.... The 98 Valk Tourer I recently aquired has 18,000 miles. Can't keep both? I will tell you there are definately plus / minus to both bikes....

Its a tough choice, but I may go with the Valk, mainly because of the lower mileage, but its also five years older as well.

You have to look into your heart and make the choice.... that the Valk is going to be history!

As cool as the Valkyrie looks, I wouldn't want a 13 year old bike. I vote for the Nomad.

Difficult choice. Both bikes are amazing.
I for one would choose the Nomad. No wait, I chose a Nomad.

I too would go with the Nomad. It is a newer bike even thought it has more miles. The 98 is older with older parts in it. That means it has sat a lot and sitting for any bike or any car isn't always a good thing. 51,000 miles isn't a lot of miles if it has been serviced properly.

You obviously have had a chance to evaluate both bikes, which one do you like the most? For me personally I would go for dependability. You know your Nomad and there is a lot less parts to mess up.

I would think of a way to keep both if possible. Then ride the nomad and occasionally ride the Valk.
Or sell the Valk. to me. ![]()

I wanted a Valk when I found the Nomad and I'm glad i chose the Nomad for only one reason, weight. The Nomad in plenty heavy for me, the Valk would have been worse.

I think you've got the best of both worlds....
the valk is a classic bike, but as everyone is saying if you're actully putting on alot of miles I'd be hesitant on keeping it long term with an extinct bike. I say ride the valk for another short while so you can truely feel like you owned, and rode a valk..... then consider keeping the nomad for the long term.
