All specialty parts are for a 2005-2008 Nomad 1600

Asthetically the Nomad is absolutely my favorite bike out there, but it just didn't have enough low-end torque for me, and weekend before last my wife and I were caught up in a Road Rage situation where I had trouble getting away from a guy that was intent on running us down with his Tahoe. I had to keep downshifting to get the RPM's high enough to be able to get away at full throttle.

It was a scary as hell situation that I swore then and there that I would never again put my wife through, so I scheduled a test ride of the XC and it had everything that I wanted in terms of the power band and acceleration... Maybe I'm being too picky, and maybe it's because I also ride a sport bike, but I want/need the best of both worlds and I feel that I'll have it now.

I commented immediately after this to pretty much everyone that if I had a pistol with me at the time, I would have likely shot him dead since had already legally attempted vehicular homicide with his actions.

I was very much fearing for our lives at the time!
