Power re-cycle when starting the bike

I don't know how to describe it better than that. I'll turn my '05 on, wait for the electric to cycle, hit the start and the power will recycle, resetting my clock and trip odometer. After that happens, the bike will start right up, but it's really annoying. The battery isn't that old, maybe 2 years max. I have LED's, but don't run them all the time and nothing else charging when I start up.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Survey says.....it's your battery! Check your battery connections, if they are clean and tight, then have your battery load tested. But what you describe is a classic symptom of a weak battery.

I was afraid you were going to say that CJ. That was my suspicion.

Thats exactly what it will be, now that the cooler weather is coming it takes a little more juice to get the motor started.
May as well start looking for a new battery Jeff.

Overusing your vibrating butt plug is probably draining more than just your self esteem... your bike's battery can't run that sucker 24/7 dude!
