Shift lever

When I try to up shift I can barley get my toe under the shifter.I relocated it one spline up and now I have to take my foot off of the board to downshift.Yes.....I know I can use the heal shifter to up shift but that's not my preference.Have you encountered this or do you have a solution?Am I stuck with heal shifting?

I can't think of anything you havn,t mentioned yourself. It looks like youll have to decide whether upshifts or downshifts are most comfortable. Myself I like the heel shifter best. I find it awkward now to use the toeshifter on upshifts.

I had the same problem, so I decided to bite the bullet and use the heal shifter (after 30 years of not using one), and I would be without it now. I don't have to lift my foot to downshift or to upshift...Life's Good

Heel shifter makes a cleaner shift too. But i was not into it for a long time either. When I found the 1st to 2nd was clean that told all I needed to know.

I was new to my Nomad in March of this yr.

I did not like the heal shifter at first. Now, no problem.

I would suggest learning to prefer the heel shifter, but if you must - you can remove the toe shift lever and rotate it clockwise a couple of splines and slide it back on and tighten it down.

When it becomes habit strength, you'll wonder how you ever did without the heel shifter.

On my Nad, I set the toe shifter to the boots I wear most often and used the heel shifter for all other boots.
That was about two years ago and now I only use the heel shifter.
