Hi. I've just bought a 2004 Vulcan Nomad & I'm new to this forum. I have a lot of questions about runability, idiosyncracies & accessories. I'll browse the different topics & see if I can glean some good info, (I'm sure there's a lot). In the meantime, can anybody brief me on things like clutch growl, idle problems and noises from accessories like the Fire & Steel front fender guard? Also, does anybody have experience with the Jardine Ultimate Backrest & luggage rack? Good or bad? Thanks!

Welcome from Ontario! Im not sure what you mean by clutch growl, but if you just got the bike you should clean the throttle body with carb cleaner. You can read more on this in the tech boards found further down topics. Check the fender trim for loose hardware or a cracked weld. Just ask if you have anymore questions.

Welcome from Arkansas. I had an ultimate backrest, liked it very well.
I was planning to do some modifications (lower the luggage rack), but totaled the bike before I could get it done.
