I'm Strongly Considering Denali Lights- Opinions?
Hi folks, what dya think of these lights? My next mod may likely be these Denali lights directly under the triple tree (above the fender). Very light, durable and powerful... but not as pretty as chrome/matching lights with our stock headlight.
http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/5224// Opinions please.

Talk to Joe (Chuckster) about his brackets and lights.
They give the look of a light bar without all of the expense. MT

PG: let me preface this with: you did ask for our opinions.
Mine is they are ugly, expensive and complicated to install. Then again, I have several mods to my bike and car that others might think ugly, expensive and complicated to install. The Hyper-Charger for example! So if you like them go for it?

They should be bright and not draw too much power but Id still prefer the look of a traditional lightbar with the two spotlamps.
I replaced the 35 watt sealed beams in my lightbar with 55watt halogens, and they give off a lot more light than they used to.

I like them, but I'm partial to LED technology. I have a suspicion though that they are more of a super bright marker light than a driving light.
I would bet that your standard headlamp would light the road better than the two of them together. It's hard to project light any distance without some super optics with reflectors that small. However, when it comes to being seen I bet they would work great.

Also, make sure there's enough clearance between the lights and the fender when the front shocks are compressed. A friend hung a gremlin bell from his triple tree on his Harley dresser and at some point he had gone over a bump and drove the fender up into the bell leaving a dent in the top his fender. Gremlin bells aren't very tall.

![]() ![]() Thanks for your opinions, I know that is what i asked for... and I value your opinions as fellow Nomad owners. I'm not afraid to mix up different bike styles/types. I also bought reflective wheel stripes to add for additional conspicuity too (i did this on all my bikes). Eventually i hope to actually powder coat the headlight bucket black. My own personalized touches. I'll need $ first, but i have my sights set on it, as well as, an air mod. peace.

Look well made. But what kind of light do they make? They are butt ugly too. I 2nd see Chuckster for his mounts. And more so if these are just grand marker lights.
I live in the great nawth Woods and Moosies are a big problem for me. I want light! For demo purposes both sets are ON. The lower make good light at night, and in some places I run both sets for a limited amount of time. ![]()

Do Chuckster's mounts attach right onto the existing turn signal bar? How much? And what lights are you using? The Denalis seem to draw less power, but have incredible output-- they aren't pretty, but function is what i'm concerned about- and they woulnd't look to obtrusive under the tripple tree. My thoughts anyways. Thanks.

No they are mounted on the front side of the lowers in a oem bolt hole. Maybe this pics is clearer as a semi side view. The chrome is nice and best of all these were apx 20 bucks.
I got them at walmart in the for cars lights section and spare bulbs are on hand at Lowes in home lighting. As I see it they mimic the amber pods, and you don't see them unless you are looking hard. At that they look factory. ![]()

Chucksters mounts bolt up with no light bar what so ever to the whindshield bracket mounts, but appear to be a part of the light bar when mounted. They take the "Traditional' lamp buckets. Mine is a used Cobra light bar set up.
For the fog lamps I use a straight wire circuit from the battery with a in like fuse to a 30 amp switch which is illuminated in the stock Cobra mount hole on the bar. For the 55 watts each I wired the same way, but the switch is is located under the seat on my left side between the frame. It has a 30 amp illuminated switch as well. I did have to learn the feel, but at night the light the switch makes is handy.

I've got the same ones as Mac and mounted the same place. At 50w each they do the job. Found replacement bulbs for $2 but have only burned out the originals so far running with them on most the time. The $16 price includes mounts and complete wiring kit.
