It seems like he just stopped hosting the price is right a few years back. Who remembers another show he had many years back. Part of it involved him interviewing kids. "Kids say the darnedest things" comes to mind and I'm not sure if that was the name of the segment or the show.

I think you have Art confused with Bob Barker. Bob was the host of "The Price Is Right".

Art was best known for his show back in the sixties called: "Kids Say The Darnedest Things".

It was a clever show and was quite reflective of a different time-period. I always liked Art. Sounds like he lived a long life.

I don't mean any disrespect, but I thought he had been dead for 20 years. I enjoyed watching his show when I was a kid.

He holds the record for the most shows running concurrently on television. At one point he hosted FIVE different shows.

God....I do remember. I am now officially old....

. I too was surprised to hear his name today. I'm with CJ....I thought he was gone long ago. R.I.P. Art..... :'(.

Really hate to hear of his death. He seemed to be a really good guy. I watched his show when I was quite young. I know he was against drugs as it was the cause of the death of his daughter.

I knew he was still living as I saw an interview with him not terribly long ago.

Most of the old time people I grew up watching on television and the movies are all dying out. It is really sad as there are none to take their place.

Art has a special place in Heaven. His love for the innocence of children is unsurpassed. He also fought for patient's rights for the elderly! Truly a man who's shoes I could never fill!

Married 74 years... God bless you Art!! :'(

I must admit, I never thought of him after his hey-day, I too thought he was gone. It was like you don't think of someone until their gone.
