Plug & Play Run-Turn-Brake Controller
With no lighting mods I plugged in the Kuryakan triple whammy and get a faster flash rate. No led's involved. Do I still need a load equilizer?

Not sure on that Charlie. Seems like it shouldn't flash at a faster rater. I am sure someone will chime in and help you on that.

if you're only using incandescent lights, you won't need a load equalizer.
The purpose of a load equalizers is to simulate an incandescent bulb when the draw from an LED is insufficient to operate a typical thermal-load blinker. ;)

Yeah, I had the same experience. My blink rate was faster after installing the triple whammy. I messed with that little tab as well with no noticeable change. In the end, I just said the heck with it. It blinks and I can live with it. It's just a little faster than it was before the mod. I haven't failed any inspections due to a faster blink rate so, what the heck... I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The little tab is for the flashing brake light. The load eq is a plug in mod. about the same size as the TW. There are two white plugs it can go in, not sure why and I did not try both as the one I plugged into the first time worked. My signals are close to stock flash rate.

OK here is what I am doing. Since I can't find the plug to make the brake light flash I have bypassed the brake circuit in the plug and play and am running it through my backoff brake modulator. I know have three running lights, brake and turn lights. The brake light modulates and my signals just blink a little faster.
Oh yeah, I also replaced the reflectors around the plate with running lights as well.

I used the provided equalizer. My blink rate was faster than normal after plugging in the Kuryakyn Triple Whammy. Blink rate is normal or near normal with the equalizer.

I installed the triple whammy setup recently and had this issue. HOWEVER, talking with Roger on the J&P tech line (where I bought it) he asked if I had started the engine. I had not - problem resolved.
With the engine running the blink rate is fine. With engine off it blinks fast. Kuryakyn tech line suggested I buy a second load equalizer to resolve it - I haven't.
