How do mud flaps attach

Do I have to drill holes in my fenders to install mud flaps?

I put my front mudflap on with gorilla glue and don't think I could take it off if I wanted to. It is permanently bonded to the front fender. My rear mudflap is attached to the saddlebag support with nylon cable clamps. They are p shaped clamps that go over the bar and attach to the mudflap with bolts.

You may as well put chrome fender tips on at the same time and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. That's what I would do anyway. Then in the future, you could remove the mudflaps or the next perspective buyer could, and the fender tips would take care of covering the holes.

I was just kidding about the glue.

It worked great. I cleaned the inside of the fender, wet the surface of the fender and the mudflap, applied the gorilla glue and clamped the mudflap on the fender with griplock wood clamps. The mudflap has been on for over a year and will probably never come off. No holes in my fender :-)
