I was totally impressed

Well now I am hooked for sure.

I took a 2005 VN 1600 out for a test ride today. I noticed several things right away.

- The low rumble of the ample motor.

- The smoothness of the shifter. (My other touring bikes all had a clunk when you shifted them.)

- How nimble it was for such a large Bike.

- Handles great and runs smooth as silk at 65 mph.

I was already impressed with the looks of it, now I am sold with the performance! I talked it over with the better half of our household and she is sold too. Now I have to go back and make the gentleman an offer he can't refuse.

Thanks for a great site with lots of information!

John

The smoothness of the shifter. (My other touring bikes all had a clunk when you shifted them.)

You sure you were riding a Nomad?

No I can't. I got that itch and only that bike is going to scratch it.

Yes, it was a 1600 Nomad. Does your Nomad clunk when you shift it?
