Vincent, if you can set up your Nomad in a front wheel chock or something that hold it straight up and keeps the front fork legs stationary that will make both jobs easier. First turn all 3 pots on controller counter clockwise to 0, then set each to cobra's supplied settings for your model bike which is probably 3 - 5 - 0.
Then remove the rear and front seats, then remove the windshield, and the headlight ring and light, then Speedo cover followed by both rear tank bolts (move wire clamps out of way), then front bolt. Be careful now, as you lift rear of tank look at how the fuel line to tank on left side is routed, remember how it is routed then undo the quick disconnect fuel line and tilt rear of tank up about 4 inch. Place small piece of 2 x 4 under tank and hook bungee cords (not real tight just snug) from rear bolt holes to each mirror to keep tank from shifting. Then take the left side cover off and get all the stuff you took off out of your way.
In stall the FI unit in left side cover with provided Velcro, route wires to injectors out opening in backside of left compartment along the left wire bundle in the left clamp off the left rear tank bolt. Unplug the injectors, plug in controllers adapter and plug in injectors again per it's instructions. Turn key on and verify the right lights on unit. Put fuel line back on, put tank down making sure you route it like it was originally (as kinking this line and having fuel flow problems is common) and put front bolt in. start bike for moment and if it runs smile then turn off!
With out further reassembly go to light bar installation. Mount and wire the bar per included instructions. Connect head light and mount with ring and start bike again. Play with your spots and hi/lo beams and turn signals to make sure of their functions. Consider future mods like relay and power bar but for today keep it simple! If every thing works repeat "I am the Man!" 3 times then put the rest of stuff back on bike. ;)

I have the F&S lightbar and followed Gadget's recommendations:

http://www.gadgetjq.com/wiredrivinglights.htm

I omitted adding a on/off switch on the handlebar since the F&S lightbar has a switch on it already.

I've learned over time that even though instructions look complicated and I may not understand everything I'm reading, if I just follow the steps as described everything seems to work.

This is where the cold beer comes into play. LOL
