Ultimate vs Mustang seat

You hear so many different seat things about seat but any opinion on Ultimate seats

I have never seen one on a Nomad, but a guy had one on his Yamaha V Star and said it was a great improvement over his stock seat. He really liked it, and it looked good on the bike.

Landman has an Ultimate Seat for his Nomad and he seems to really like it. Seats are so subjective that it's hard to really compare. The best seat is the one that don't make your butt burn after a long day in the saddle, whichever brand that works out to be!

you know on some other bikes I swapped the stock seat out, but I have had no problem with the 1500 Nomad stock seat

You are luck EZ. I have the stock one on my 1500 and I get Monkey Butt after a couple hours.

Tried sheepskin, beads, gel, and airhawk....all helped in there own way but I still get burn after a couple hours....I think Netnorske is right....I just gotta weird shape....I haven't tried a new seat yet...not sure I want to spend the money since I like to stop and walk after each tankful anyhow.

Just bought a Mustang for mine. I have had one on my LC for a few years and I love it.

Well worth the money.

Now using Mustang seat on Nomad. Improvement over stock for sure but still getting used to it.....Tried Ultimate Seat on Suzuki C50T cruiser, and was nice, especially the rider backrest, but not $800 nice, so sent it back...Bought OEM Gel seat for C50T and it is the most comfy yet...$240 out the door new..mention this because butts are different and thus seat choice is subjective...One nice thing about Ultimate is their 14 day no quibble money back guarantee.

I have a Mustang on my 900. It is great. Still happy with the stock seat on the 08 Nomad. Will see if that holds true when we do some longer rides this year. So far, our longest is about 200 miles one way and lots of local, so we haven't given it a good test yet. On the 900, the Mustang is worth every penny.

I'm happy with the mustang. I have put 20K miles on it without any problems. I know my hate it.

Seats are very subjective and I doubt you come to a conclusive decision until you sit on a few different seats.

I've heard a few people say bad things about pretty much every brand of seat, even if most people like them.

The one seat that I've never heard anything bad about is the Russell Day Long that is custom made for you.

Well has anyone ever MOD'ed a stock Nomad seat?
Maybe my "behind" is tough as leather :) but I like the way the stock seat sits.
It could however use more back support...hummm sounds like another project for me....hehe

i had the mustang on my nomad and it was an improvement over
the stock seat but still just not quite right for me so i sold it and bought
the ultimate and i am very happy with it.i can now ride all day with
no hot spots or other comfort cocerns.with either seat make sure
you buy the backrest.
