Crosscountry temptation

Just saw the new Victory Crosscountry. Absolutely awesome. Never thought I would like any other Hardbag design more than the Nomad. When I opened up the hardbags they looked like they would hold more than mine. Would not buy a Vision but this thing I would love to have. The total weight is like 767, almost the same as my Nad. At 18k I would probably buy it before getting a Voyager. No rear trunk tho but they do have a cool looking passenger backrest for it. Dont know if I could ever part with my baby tho. That could be Nomadultery

There's a ton of sweet features on that bike. I can't wait to see one this Sunday at the Seattle International Motorcycle Show! I wish they offered a Tour Pack option though. Seems to me every touring-class bike should have that. That thing can carry 580 lbs of cargo... !

If I could have a second bike Id love a Victory Kingpin just for running around town on. They make some nice bikes the last few years..

That Cross Country is probably the only Victory I'd own. Fine looking bike.

Oh man I wish I had never seen that. If they had that model in 07 I would have been very tempted......My Nomad is paid for...My Nomad is paid for...My Nomad is paid for...I just have to keep telling myself...My Nomad is paid for...My Nomad is paid for....Maybe just one more peek......

It has nice lines. Like it. As said before, Nomad is paid for. I wouldn't get rid of the Nomad even if I bought something else.

Victory knows how to get a lot more power out of a V-twin. Too bad they didn't make the Nomad :)

I test rode a Kingpin Tour a year ago, and that engine (100 ci, I think) had a lot of pep. Very nice with the 6 speed gearbox.

For those of you into podcasts, check out the Motorcycle Radio Network. This week they did a review of the 2010 Crossroads. They seemed to really like it.

Well, let me show you what I've been looking at lately.......and, I've decided that in a few years, I'll probably get one. I'll, of course be keeping my Nomad....but adding this to the stable.

Now, if this is a shock to hear the Founder and CEO of KawaNOW blaspheme and talk about getting a Harley, well, all I can say is...so be it. Although I love the Nomad, I find the Road Glide to be a beautiful bike and very functional. I fell in love with it several years ago.

The way I figure it, I can probably get a 2009 CVO Road Glide used, at a decent price in 2-3 years. Since the economy has tanked and is coming back up, prices for HD's have come down to a decent level. I looked on ebay the other day and can get a 2007 Road Glide for about $15,000.00.

Oh and the Texas Burnt Orange color doesn't hurt either.

Very nice.....you'd definitely have to mount a set of "Longhorns" on the fairing. ::)
