Is it the Dobeck TFI. What's the part #? Is it the "plug-n-play" version or the "splice-in" ? How long have you had it on the bike and/or why are you selling it? Thanks

If you are keeping the bike do the mod. The bike runs soooo much better with it. Add a 9" air cleaner and you will wonder why you did not do the mods sooner.

Won't necessarily run better with the mod; we have turned off our TFI's and our Nomads run better. All the pollution crap is removed, we run an open air kit, and pipes. We went for 10,000 miles with our mods before adding the TFI's thinking we would get more power but we were wrong. We get better gas mileage, more power, a better idle, no pinging, and once again have added about 10,000 miles to both Nomads and the spark plugs look fine. My Ruby would not idle worth crap with the TFI on and now she will with it off. It depends on the elevation of where you live on what the factory settings are for the fuel mixture. We live at over 3200 feet above sea level so ours where set richer at the factory than a Nomad going into California would be.

CycleCat.. I'm sure Macmac would like to weigh in on this one. (just hope he doesn't find this thread). Good to hear about a nice running Nomad, with just air and exhaust. I can't see from picture what intake your using?

TFI for sale
I tried scaling my #1 pot back from 3:30 to 2:30 in an attempt to increase my mpg only to have it want to stall on takeoff and stumble when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, just like it did before installing the TFI. Mine must be one of the lean ones.

My bike used to ping like crazy, stumble at take off and occasionally stall when decelerating coming to a stop. It doesnt do it anymore with the TFi installed.

I still have mine die when pulling up to the first light cold, but thats because I have the solenoids off and idle way down. once warm though she purrs like a kitten.

I saw a really good idea for the solenoids, They do the cadmann mod but leave the solenoids in and wire a switch to them. When the motor is warmed up they turn them off ? Great Idea I thought!
