Custom Exhaust

Thought I would share my custom exhaust.

It is a set of Cobra True Dual Billet tip ceramic coated black.

I like it.
Is the exhaust black or just the heat sheilds?

The entire exhaust was coated except for the billet tips. Though you could do just the shields and get a similar effect. Supposedly this will help reduce the heat coming off the pipes.

This ran me $240. I used a place called Impact Coatings, but you should be able to find a number of shops in any city. Look in the yellow pages under "powder coating".

And the heat is supposed to stay more in the pipe and come out the tail, instead of radiating along the length of the pipe.

Okay, so the ceramic coating acts as an insulator then. I'm curious to see if it makes a noticeable improvement.

I does look really nice. How durable is the coating?
