Thought I would share my custom exhaust.

The entire exhaust was coated except for the billet tips. Though you could do just the shields and get a similar effect. Supposedly this will help reduce the heat coming off the pipes.

This ran me $240. I used a place called Impact Coatings, but you should be able to find a number of shops in any city. Look in the yellow pages under "powder coating".
And the heat is supposed to stay more in the pipe and come out the tail, instead of radiating along the length of the pipe. |
