The question is "will we go quietly into the night" and allow this to continue? People are loosing jobs, seeing their lifes work ripped away and all that they have known destroyed. Legal contracts are being simply ignored and declared null and void.

This country is great because of the rule of law. If two people enter into a contract they are guaranteed by law that the contract will be honored and upheld in a court of law.

We are great because the spirit of the American people is one founded in an unparalleled work ethic knowing that if you work hard and prosper that you will be able to enjoy the fruits of you labor. Today that is all being taken away. Those of us who have worked hard and made a reasonably comfortable life for ourselves are being told that we have to give up what we have for someone else.

Where is the incentive to continue to strive for your own welfare? Where is the legal guarantee that what you build you will be able to keep? They are going away at an alarming clip. When we loose these guarantees we are done. We will descend into lawlessness and chaos and anarchy will reign.

God help us all.

It is a sorry state we are in now for sure. When those with connections can get whatever they want, save their butts and the hard working guys out there that don't have that ability go under. My brother-in-laws had to sell off their 3rd generation business last week because business is so bad. Lucky for them, they both found other jobs quickly but they didn't get bailed out.
