Nomad hill climb

This is a bit like the Trials game that I like.

A VROC member wanted to know about riding a Nomad out in the desert, and if it could climb hills.

I decided to try and verify it for him.

The dirt was very lose and I spun out and didn't make it the first try.

Second try I was still spinning and made it to the top though.

Dang it all Dan. I thought I had left my hill climbing days safely back in the 1970s. Now you have gone and shown that the Nomad can go up hills too! You know what, I bet a car tire on the rear will really help in climbing hills.

Please help! Somebody save me before I hurt myself!

Nomad hill climb

A couple of years ago I pulled off the road to wait for my brother to catch up and when I touched the shoulder it was very loose and rather than chance dropping the bike I rode it into the ditch about 7-8 ft down. Trying to get out was difficult , I drove in the ditch for about 100yds and each time I tried to climb out my tire would spin, after a few attempts I buried the back wheel up to the mufflers, no kickstand required . Within a few minutes my brother and a couple of guys found me stuck down there, a quick push uphill and I was out and on the road. Hopefully thats the end of using my Nomad as a dirt bike.
