rear trunk

I have a 2003 1500FI Nomad that came with a rear luggage rack (chrome). I would like to put a rear trunk (hard case) on the rack but I don't know where to begin looking. My bike's color is Black Pearl. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
George

Do a search on E-Bay for "Matazu" or do a goggle. I have a 2003 Blackpearl too. Do not go with the "VIP" trunk. It looks good on the web site, but in reality it is too small for the Nomad. (don't ask). CJ has the larger Matazu truck & seems happy with it....

If you want the trunk that I have, it is the Mutazu DMY trunk. It is the one that says VIP on it. Honestly, I am thinking of buying the Scootworks Supertrunk III. I saw one in Custer and seems pretty nice. I'm not dissatisfied with the Mutazu, I just want a bigger trunk.

I too am looking for a trunk for rear of an '08 Nomad. Want to get one as large as possible, and have lots of lights on it, as my last bike got rear ended because driver of car "didn't see me" at the stop sign in broad daylight. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Mine is the smaller trunk with the Led brake & tail lights, and the wrap around back rest.

Although my trunk looks good & the lights work, the inside latch is broken & it cannot be locked. Other than that it will mount right to your luggage rack & can easily be wired to your bike's lights.....-Rich

I got a used trunk from an 83 Goldwing 1100. Put a little body work and paint on it and it looks like it belongs on the bike. I just need to fab up my mounting bracket and I'm good to go.

After a bit of looking around, I went with the Scootworks Super Trunk III, and am very satisfied with it. Plenty big, sturdy enough, and I think it looks good. Only negative for me is I think the locks could have been a little sturdier.

A bit expensive though once you add in all the accessories . . . rack, backrest, top rack, etc. And then getting it painted adds a bit more, although I sanded mine myself to save a few pennies.

Would like to add some lights to it, but haven't found anything I like yet at a reasonable price. However, I do have the run-turn-brake controller, so that gives the bike a little more visibility from the back already.

I have a black '03 1500FI also. What kind of a rack do you use to mount the tourpack. I thinking about the large matazu with wrap around backrest and the top rack.

Hey Tomm,

What paint did you use to match it up? It looks awesome.
