Smith Brothers in AL...ask for Sam. I think they give forum members a discount. Sorry I don't have a number for them though.

I ordered a new set of pads for the bike today from Sam.

they cost $38 on the average for all three sets.

I ordered a couple other things for the bike and I must say the prices for Kawanow members are great. Thanks for the heads up on this vendor.

Mike.

There are some brakepads being sold on Ebay for $48.00 for all three pairs of pads. Has anybody here tried them? Its a good price if they work, I paid $61.00 here for just the rear set.

Agreed. Just put on the rears yesterday. Got OEMs from Sam for about $43 incl S+H. Took 2 days to get them and she had them in stock whereas no one around here even carries them. Go figure dealers not even carrying a wear item like that.

I tried a set of them a couple of years ago. The back that is, and I went through the back, and the right front on the back in about 3000 miles. They didn't last long and sure enough make a heck of a lot of dust. I'll stick with the EBC HH pads.

My rear pads did not need changing today when my tire was replaced. The mechanic said there was plenty of pad left. 10,400 miles.

I seem to get around 20,000 miles on my rear pads, youll here then squeel when they are worn out.

my rear were shot at 10,200. They were squealing and less than 1 mm left when I looked at them off. the EBC is called OEM pads but when you take off the OEM pads they have a different pad arrangement and they are called Tokico. Anyway I like the EBC so far. They are quiet and stop well.
