WOO HOO...I'm now a Nomad owner as of yesterday. Thanks to all who posted answers to some questions I had. This forum is a great source of info. The bike I found is an 04 FI with only 1500 miles. Everything I read about these bikes seems to be true. Previously I owned a Volusia and while it is a good ride for the money the Nomad is much nicer. The previous owner is a retired gentleman who kept it garaged. He bought it in 05 as a demo with 150 miles. The only puzzle is that all of the Vulcan emblems and the 3 trim strips on each saddlebag were missing when he bought it. This concerned me until I actually saw the bike, because otherwise it is in very nice condition. Seems like a dealer would want the brand name showing. He put tank badges on. But I'd like to find the emblems for the windshield and backrest and the trim strips. Also he didn't get an owners manual or toolkit. I really don't want to pay stealer prices. Any ideas?

Make sure you look in the left side cover and pull out the little snap in shelf for the tool kit. I didn't thinl mine had one until I took a second look and found it.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Nomad Nation!

Both have online parts fiche for your Nomad at much less than dealer prices. I have bought from both and can vouch for them.

I'll warn you, those Vulcan badges ain't cheap. I bought one for my trunk.

Enjoy your Nomad. They are superb bikes.

Welcome to the Nomad world K9! I have no doubt that you are going to enjoy your new Nomad.

Also, since you are in the Southeast Region, check out the posts in the Southeast regional board. Folks are always setting up rides where we can get together and meet each other.

Congrads on your new Nad. You're going to love it. Take a 2nd look for the tool kit. Inside the left side cover, there should be a "hiden compartment" in the bottom half. Pull the little rubber knob to open it up. If you don't have the tool kit, you might check ebay,I saw one on there the other day.

Congrats and welcome to the club. Watch Ebay for the items you need, and just be patient. They'll likely, eventually, show up on there.
