Final drive vent
I don't know for sure on the '03 but the '05s and up do have a breather hole in the final gear case. If you have the rear wheel off and are looking straight toward the gear case where the wheel mounts, at about 10 o'clock to 11 o'clock at the outer edge of the aluminum casting is where it is located. I wish I could scan the picture in the service manual for you but I can't.
I found a picture and stole it. Ignore the yellow arrow. The blue arrow points at a bolt. The breather hole should be just to the left of the bolt. ![]()

Its right about where Bob say's it is. Its about 1/8" dia.
