vance & hines exhaust

wanted to know if i remove baffles on custom pipes will i harm any thing as far as engine or performance (p.s. luv the sound )

I tried my bike with no baffles and found it didn't have the low end torque like it does with them installed. I wrapped the V&H baffles with sheet metal and love the deep rumble it produces.

What Ringadingh says. Most aftermaket pips give up a lot of off idle torque. Look a CaddmannQ's dyno and you'll see is starts a lot higher up the rpm range. Pulling the baffles will only make it higher up still.

I think when you don't have the proper backpressure you lose low end but gain top end

I musta posted someone elses dyno chart as an example somewhere. My bike's never been on a dyno.

Mike, I've had V&H's for going on 7 years now, I've taken the baffles out quite a few times (lov the sound 2) but it's TO loud for normal riding. What I did was cut the baffles in half. Sounds great. Everyone that hears it wants to know what I did, I know now in my area lots of baffles have been cut. Ask Nico how he likes his
