tire changing with no tools - has anyone here done

Hi guys,
saw the link to in the tire section

have any of our guys actually done it this way?
looks like that is on more of a lighter bike - is this possible for a nomad with a car tire?

I attempted it once. Went to Harbor Freight and bought 10 lashing straps. You really have to cinch the tires up tight. Got frustrated and used the tire irons instead.

Although I posted that a while ago, Ive never tried it myself. I use tire irons, and protect the edge of the rim with pieces of a plastic jug. I can usually have the tires off and back on within about fifteen minutes.

It might work, you could be the first to try it with a CT.

I have used this method twice for the front tire with good results. No tire irons, no soap, and no plastic rim protectors needed. I'm sure it would work as well if mounting MC tire on rear. The only way it could be easier is if my wife would remove the old tire.
Was unsuccessful mounting CT on rear. You must pull the beads tight together to make this method work. Unable to pull them tight enough so I gave up and used tire irons to finish.
