spark plug tube

yup i waited till it started leaking oil. Got my extenders ordered now i need a tube replacement. ANY IDEAS?

Yep. This is from cheapcycleparts.com, they don't list a 1998 Nomad, but it's probably the same part for a 1999.

I will be there if I can somehow get off from work. Since I am new I don't really see it happening. Wish I could but need the job, otherwise I couldn't afford to ride any.

got the tube ordered. any suggestions on getting that suker out. It looks like soomeone has tried before as a couple of the wals are a little rounded. Ive just been to scared to do it.

I use a stamped steel socket that just happens to fit, you can also try a large nut or bolt head. They just unscrew.

Pull the oil screen and clean it. Could have small bits of the plug tube at the bottom of the crankcase.

I am so used to everyone pulling the screen to change oil I forget there is that other drain... In my case it's a what drain??? Since I have never touched it once.

ive changed the oil before didnt see any metal but not sure where the oil screen is.

Im sure the cam chain would grind the tube into very fine particals, I doubt you would ever see a piece in the motor.
