Another lighting option
With inspiration from James “Bubba” and others on this site, I finally added additional tail/brake lights.
I went with Drag Specialties’ Capsule Lights. They are pretty cheap since a local store ordered them for me from Drag Specialties and didn’t charge shipping. They are also versatile, using standard 1157 bulbs and they come with yellow and red lenses. They are bright and visible from the side too. I mounted them on my Cobra luggage rack. The angle was a bit of a challenge so I used vinyl spacers to square them to the lines of the bike. Lights: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/3300027?....ement_search= 1 They only drawback I’ve seen is that if the tail and brake lights are on at the same time for too long, it could melt the lens. I figure if that happens, I’ll get new lenses and LED bulbs. ![]() ![]() ![]() Scott M. Kelm Login or Register to Remove Ads |
