TOOLS
I carry the kit that came with the bike, an 8mm wrench, a large adjustable wrench, CO2 to inflate tires, tire patch, pressure gauge, advil, and VISA. While on a trip in terms of repairs I only ever had to use the pressure gauge to check tires, large wrench (highway peg adjustment), VISA (to buy the large wrench), 8 mm wrench (left the lights on), and advil (aches from trying to push start the bike).

The amount of tools etc one takes varies per person, here's a link to Gadget's site for a starter. http://www.gadgetjq.com/magic_bag.htm

TOOLS
I carry a 12v slime compressor, plug kit & tire gauge, fuses & 16 ga wire, small jumper cables, 1/4" drive with 4mm - 14mm sockets, 4mm - 12mm combination wrenches, flat and phillips screwdrivers, air shock pump, 4 spark plugs, extra headlight bulb, and maybe a few other odds & ends I can't think of at the moment. On long trips I also carry a 1 gallon plastic can of gasoline on my trailer just in case I get in a bind.

TOOLS
I carry a Cruz tools metric kit (Roadtech M3), a Slime compressor, tire plugging kit, and a first aid kit at all times. When I travel, I throw in a small box containing extra lamps, fuses, crimp connectors, 16g wire, zip ties, and a couple feet of baling wire. If I'm towing my trailer, I carry a few more extras, including a breaker bar and socket to tighten/remove the trailer wheels, a couple of extra wheel bearings, seals, grease, cotter pins, etc.

TOOLS
If u think about what's needed involving a break down the most common on a Nomad would be............a flat tire.
So therefore the MOST important tools would be a tire plug and tools and a small air compressor. |

There was good long discussion in this thread
http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/v...=14898&start=0 I agree that the tire plugger kit and air pump is #1 on my list. I use StopNGo. There was a hex tool for the front axle I got on Ebay recently that I will add to the travel tools just because many places will not have that 22mm hex if you had to replace a tire or remove the wheel to do a repair on a long trip.

TOOLS
Good iidea but just so you know the spark plug wrench that comes with the bike doubles as the 22 mm. for the front wheel. Not the best of quality but I've used it.

Compressor, tire plugs and the tools to insert it. I too rely on the AAA card.
