Where do you get your tires?

Just wondering if most people order their tires through the dealer or if there's a good place online anyone uses?

Where do you get your tires?

The last tire I bought was a Dunlop Elite III rear 160/80-16H for $139.00, from American Classic Motors. I shop on line and buy where ever I can find them the cheapest. Others I have bought from is Ron Ayers, Chapperal, MAW's, Motorcycle Super Store and South West Moto. And I am sure there are others I have forgotten.

Where do you get your tires?

The only problem wiyh buying on line is you don't get to check the code to see when the tire was made. If that makes a difference to any of you ???

I order mine from an independent shop here in town. He has treated me right so far.

Ron Ayers; but the shipping and brokerage charges to Canada made it almost the same price as if I had ordered locally. They only ship by UPS to Canada, if they would have used USPS it would have been a lot less money.

Get mine through a local independent who also installs them, I thinks he's fair. Might be paying him a few bucks for the right to complain about any issues.

Where do you get your tires?

Just bought a new front from ronayers.com. I've used my local dealer in the past, but when I called them they didn't have my tire. Said they could order it for me for $130. I ordered it myself for $95.

Wolfman, some dealers are particularly fussy about not installing any tire that they can't sale to you for an inflated price.

If you have a dealer that will let you bring your own tire in and they'll mount it, getting one online is the way to go.

The Kawi dealer I used when I lived in Utah would mount tires I brought in, so I'd get them on the Net and have them shipped straight to the dealer.

If you don't have a dealer who will do it, most independent shops will.
