Redwoods Rally Fundraiser Goodies

I thought I might share a list of some of the items donated by various vendors in sponsorship of our Redwoods Rally. As you know we will be selling raffle tickets at the banquet (or before) for a chance at this stuff and donating the proceeds to Del Norte Little League of Crescent City.

I have also determined that there will be no limit to the amount of times you can win, so if you are lucky enough to win five items, so be it. I'm hoping we can knock the socks off of the Little League Reps who will be on hand and leave Crescent City a better place for us having been there.

Tickets will be sold as follows:

5 tickets for $10
10 tickets for $15
20 tickets for $20
over 20- $1 each

This is not a complete list as I am waiting to hear from a couple other vendors who expressed interest, but it gives you a good idea....

1. Brian Gibson of Kawasaki Motors donated around fifteen gift certs and a whole box of Vulcan Nation t-shirts.

2. $200.00 gift cert from Custom Dynamics

3. Six gift certs from Franks Leather Products that are good for $25.00 off anything under $100.00....or $50.00 off anything over $100.00

4. John Montani (xncrman) is sending out a box of stuff including a set of his custom made Hard Lowers.

5. $25.00 gift cert from J&P Cycles

6. $20.00 gift cert from Rumbling Pride (flag vendor)

7. Joe Norris (Chuckster) donated two $50.00 gift certs plus some t-shirts

8. Cardo Systems is donating one Cardo Scala Rider Teamset Pro. This is a rider/passenger wireless communications set.

I am still waiting to hear back from a couple other vendors who have promised their support as well. Overall, I am very pleased and appreciative of those vendors who have stepped up to support both KawaNOW and Little League Baseball.

It would still be nice if everyone could bring a small item to donate as well. No big deal if you don't, but the more stuff we have the better. I'm getting very excited and looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone in Crescent City.... :)!

We are having to switch insurance plans at the City where I work on Jan 1, 2012. For 32 years I have never had co-pays and very limited out-of-pocket expenses. That will all change soon and we are dreading it. My eye surgery last summer cost around 75k all totalled....I never saw a bill....not one.

Most of us in the public sector long ago traded lower wages for better insurance benefits. Don't worry....I'm not going all liberal Democrat on you....I'm just sayin'....after 32 years....it's really going to suck.

My 6-day stay at the Mercy Gilbert "Resort" cost in excess of $65000. My out-of-pocket was about $2000. I'm not complaining too loudly. I would really be up a creek if not for my insurance plan.

Great responses from your connections. But I feel like I've been baited. You know I'm hoping for the best and that I'll be riding down with "lomax". Keeping my fingers crossed for sure. I hope to know more as of the 11th of Aug. after a meeting at the work place with an occupational therapist, Workers Comp, employer, Union.

I heard from Mustang today and they are sending a package of some sort out to the Rally. They apparently don't do gift certificates so I can't imagine what they might be sending. I will call Kathy at Mustang next week to get some clarification. They had already left for the day when I got her email.

Sounds like Motorcyclegear.com is tossing in a couple $35.00 GC's...and I also heard from Delinda at PHCustoms today. She has a package coming my way as well.....so add that stuff to the list!

I talked to Mitch Jones, Treasurer of Del Norte Little League today. They are stoked and over-whelmed that we are making this gesture to them. Mitch and League President John Nuskiewicz along with their wives will be in attendance at the banquet. Mitch assures me that the Elk Valley Casino puts on a real nice spread....so NO CHEAP BASTARDS.... ::) . Seriously....only donate what you can afford, but if 50 people donate $20.00 each....that's $1000.00 for the league. They would be blown away by that...as would I. Only 17 days until we tee it up....woo-hoo !
