Heat Shield for a Nomad

Does anyone know if someone makes a heat shield for the right side. Heat gets pretty intense in the summer when stopped with right leg on the ground. I've seen them for HD's, but not for a Nomad.

Cobra makes a heat shield that seems to be able to go where you want! I saw it on custom crusing web sight?

Are you talking about the heat shields on the pipes? Brian installed the ones off the stock pipes onto our V&H, both the front and back pipe, and we have no problem with heat. We both ride a 1500.

I am really talking about a shield that goes under the right side of seat and rear of the gas tank. It would attach to the frame It would be about 10 inches long and only 3 or 4 inches wide.

My driving instructors showed me to be stopped with the right foot on the board with the brakes on. This way you can throttle and clutch at the friction point when leaving. Same instruction in RLAP DVD. Doing this leaves enough airspace not to get burned on the hot pipes

That is what I do most of the time. I just saw some HD's with a small shield(one chrome and one smoked plastic) and wondered if anyone had ever seen one for a Nomad. Thanks for the info.
