We came through the Sequoias as well as Yosemite last week on the return from Mesquite. Quite a bit of smoke, but we'd do it again with the Hooligans. We stayed in the Squaw Valley Motel for about $70 I think. It's approximately 25 Miles west of King's Canyon on the fun and twisty road toward Fresno

I'm hoping the fires will abate soon, but so far it seems unlikely. I hope they don't ruin the entire idea.

Hey, has anybody heard from Windrider (Charlie)? I wonder if he and his wife made it home okay?

Thanks for the nomination (I think), but I'm a get'n a little long in the tooth for anything resembling "hard" :)

I was wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure if they were gonna hit the road and keep riding or head for the barn.
