Nube from Bama!

Hi all, been riding a 2004 Blue/Silver Nomad for a little over a year, it is my daily driver. Put 44,000 on last bike (2008 Kawi Versys), then moved over to the Nomad. Love every mile on it!

Been looking here for a while, this is first post. I do need some help, I was riding with my brother in law the other day (who rides a 2005 Nomad), when he told me my headlight was out, both high and low beam. Checked the bulb, fuse, and after looking through some posted service manuals (not specifically for the 2004, can't seem to find that one!), had an electrical engineer buddy of mine meter the battery, rectifiers, junction box, and the stator's, and it appears the inside stator has gone bad. Going to keep checking around before I decide to tear into it and replace, I have always enjoyed doing my own wrenching. Anybody had this same experience, or replaced one themselves? Bike is basically stock, with 21,000 miles on it.

Thanks all for the welcome! I going to work on the bike and get this resolved. Sun is coming out, sure would be better to be out riding. Appreciate any comments to get me back on the road. Hopefully I will have a chance to meet some of you down the road....!!
