Had a great day!

I left Armstrong this morning at 7:30 and met up with Rick (Rickyboy) and Dave (Hammer) in Hope, BC. We had some lunch and traded lies for an hour or so and then we all headed out. It was a great day all around for me. I arrived home at 5:00pm after logging 685 km (425 miles).
It was great to meet you guys. I hope we can do it again sometime. :)

Mike

Good for you guys. A weekday meet up, don't you work?

Just jealous, glad you enjoyed. I'm gonna do some serious riding soon myself....

Mike,
I'm sure Hammer told you, but last night I rode up to Burlington to have dinner with him and Duffy! I have ridden with Duffy several times, but that was my first meeting with Dave. Is his Nomad pimped out or what...?? I hope the weather was as gorgeous up there today as it was down here.... ! Pray for more good weather in a few weeks!

I was talking to Charlie and I think on our way back we will probably run 97 down to Osoyoos, cross the border there, then take the North Cascades Highway (20) back. Charlie has never even driven it in a car! It will make for a long, spectacular ride home, but we'll plan for an early start from your place!

Hey Kris, I hear you're riding up this way Memorial Day weekend. What way are you coming? Maybe you could stop at "the cabin" or if I'm at home, Langley and I could ride a ways with you.
Wherever ,.... I could meet up with you.

Had a great day!

Thanks for posting in the "Trip" section Rick. I just posted there and added the picture. Looks like it was all Dave could do to keep his arms down!!

Kris...I think thats a great idea to take Hwy 20 on your way home. My brother and I rode it a couple years ago on our way to Neah Bay, Wa. Winthrop is a real neat place. Its a great place to spend an hour or so if you have time..

Yes, Dave's bike looks great, as does Ricks. Just to bad they are black!!

Rick,
We will be coming up through Sumas the morning of Sat May 29 enroute to Kelowna (Westbank)....where we are meeting Mike and Lorna. Hammer mentioned riding up to Merritt with us. Maybe you guys could hook up and meet us at the Tim Horton's just north of the border in Sumas and we could all ride at least to Merritt....that would be fun.... ! Maybe Elvis could join us for the ride too.... what say you boys....??

Had a great day!

That might work for me....Elvis??? How 'bout you?
Are you coming via the Mt. Baker Hwy Kris?
It's a big clean up weekend at our strata complex { the cabin} that weekend.
It all depends on a few things. I'll send you my phone number at the cabin. Give me a call that morning. What time do you plan to leave home,....and be in be in Kendall? The cell phone would work by the two gas stations {Texaco and ???} in Kendall {as you head to Sumas} Do you know the intersection? After that,... cell phones don't work till you pass our place and you are almost down the Mt. Baker/Kendall Rd. and into Sumas.
The place is call "Campers Paradise" and there is a sign on your right hand side, as you head down the main road on the way to Sumas. ......South of the old "Holy Smoke Tavern". It's gone back to being a church.
But I'll be in touch.

Had a great day!

We'll probably leave home about 6:30 am on Sat May 29 and make a breakfast stop someplace. I'm thinking we will probably run toward Bellingham on I-5, hit the Mt. Baker Hwy to Nugents Corner then turn north there. That is the fastest way from here...and we don't want to keep Mike and Lorna waiting in Westbank any longer than necessary....so we will need to keep things moving as best we can.

It would probably work best if we could all meet at Tim Horton's just north of the border there on Sumas Way (11). I'm guessing we would be there about 9:30ish. If we stop in Arlington for breakfast (7 to 8 am) with the border crossing that would be about right I think....9:15 or 9:30....in that neighborhood....

Yeah Elvis....how about you..... ?

Had a great day!

Kris
Don't worry about keeping us waiting. We are only about 1 1/2 hrs from Westbank so if you are running a bit late, you could give us a shout on the landline and we would just wait a bit longer before we headed out. Piece of cake, eh?
Mike

Had a great day!

Gents, I'm in.

Kris, 9:30 at Tim Horton's sounds good.

Rick, shall we meet at Holeshot Motorsports in Langley or somewhere else? We could ride to Tim Horton's to meet Kris?

I'm thinking of joining the ride up to Hope then splitting westbound on HWY 7.

Cheers,

E.

Thats the one....right on Hwy 11 between the border and Hwy 1. I'm glad we will finally have a chance to share some road miles. Should be a fun ride!

Had a great day!

Elvis,
IF !....I go I'll more than likely leave from "the cabin", and meet at Timmy's. Like I told Kris in a PM,... the weather needs to be good for me. I also have friends down for the long weekend but if the weather is good they won't miss me and would understand.
