Flat tire

Got up and ready for work yesterday morning and hopped on the bike. It's parked in the driveway, and I have a cycle shelter over it. It's dark, the bike is dark and I go to roll backwards. Doesn't want to move. I guess I was lucky it went flat while it was parked. Never did put the old C90 up for sale, so rode it in today.

What a difference in the two. You'd think with the Vaq being almost 200 pounds heavier, it would be harder to maneuver. Vaq is so much easier to corner. Seat is softer and the bars are in a better position. That being said, I sure wish I could make the suspension off the 90 work on the Vaq.

Big adjustment on the clutch too. Vaq takes hold as soon as you start to let it out. 90 is more at the end.

Of course, the bike lift is in the back of my shed now. Probably take a day to just dig it out. Need my miter saw for some house work, and it's right next to it. Once I get those out and everything rearranged so it goes back in, I'll need whatever else I put in the back.

Now off to tire shop.

Glad I stuck to a wood & fulcrum lift. Don't want to store a lift. 6x6 & 2x4 sit in the corner, gets front or rear wheel off the ground & raises enuf fir an oil change.

Well, got the stuff moved around. Put things back in differently this time. So sometime in the near future, I'm going to need whatever it is I put back there.

Going to build a wall rack for the lift. More or less tip it up into a holder. No way do I want to have to pick it up and hang it. Back is bad enough as it is.

Wish mine had been flat.. I guess it had a nail in it and then the nail decided to come out while I was doing 80mph... Anyone that can keep a bike up with a rear flat tire- I wanna SEE... Flat at 50mph aint no joke.. I cant even move it around the yard with it flat- it is like a rodeo bull...

Was doing about 70 when the back tire on the C90 went flat. Limped into a 7-11 and called the insurance company. Got towing on the policy. They sent out a regular truck. Guy said he could pick it up. Rode with him and dropped in at the house. All the way home I was thinking/hoping if it falls off, they're getting me a new bike.
