Planned trip

I'm thinking about doing this trip the first week in November. Any opinions? I'll stop at a friends house in Pearblossom and see if I can get him to go with me. He has a 1200cc sportster. He is backpedaling about going, something about to much vibration to go that far. :)

It's a go!!! Leaving Saturday, should be in Pearblossum, Calif. on Monday. My sportster riding friend says he will go, so we will start our trip on Wednesday, ride up to Monterey, stay overnight and ride back on Thursday.

A suggestion for a return trip is to continue on to Hollister & take Hiway 25 south to to 198. There you can turn left & go over to I-5, or turn right & come back to 101.

Hiway 25 is where some bike mags do some of their reviews. The locals call it the angry snake road.

I got back from the trip on Monday (11/10), 3997 miles in 10 days. The weather was great except for the last 5 hours coming home, it rained on me. :( And, the Harley Sportster 1200 that rode with me on the coast ride only broke down once!

It is a lot of fun, except for the two rear tires I have had to buy. The Nomad is 13 1/2 months old and has 26545 miles on it. I will be looking toward Colorado in the spring for some riding, maybe see you then. And of course, I'll be at the National Rally.
