crazy horse

With cobra true duals, reed valves gone and plumbing, air solenoids no longer, cobra tfi, and a new intake breather, this Nomad runs like a crazy horse!!! I took her out today for the first ride of the year and man does she pull hard. I need to adjust the tfi slightly but that will be another day. I found it really hard to do the speed limit because, well I'm not sure why except it just wanted to run at higher speeds and pull, pull, pull. I think I might need a radar detector or something. Anyways, I'm pretty happy with the results...Bdog

Sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Glad your bike is running the way you want. It is hard to hold the speed limit at times.

I like reading news like this. It is way better than buying a new bike. Look at the $ saved to get more grin factor.

Now it will be interesting to see what your fuel economy settles in at.

I've got the cobra...no panties needed..naked motor IMO looks way better, doesn't need clutter. Notice the jugs are different?

Yeah but my bike was naked left first

Besides pantied don't come in green and silver since green and silver is the fastest... The panties would just blow away....

I talked to makaw and asked about the sivler and greeen one..there responce was this..( we really had no idea what to do with the sub-standered ones so we painted them greeeen..then we realized that they looked rather blah..so we gave them a splash of sivler. Once we did this, we knew we really messed up a potentially good bike, even though they were the sub standered ones. Then we thought hey..these redneck easterners don't know nuthin anyways so we will just tell them there the fastest.) The sub standered ones have all the reject or below grade parts on them, which is probably why your fender folded up like that when trying to do 90 mph. Mac..trade it in for a fast black one..John

On (last yrs tank of gas) it worked out to be 37mpg. My average speed was 75mph with a few runs at 105mph. I also had a lot of head wind. I'm going for performance rather than ecomomy but both would be nice. My settings are 3.25/5.25/.5....John

Jared..you have a keen eye bro. I figured if I was strip the left side, then lengthening the barrels would change the appearance even more...John
